Wedding Dress is a Korean movie directed by the famous director Hyeong-jin Kwon with Youn-ah Song and Hyang-gi Kim as the leading actress. It told about an affectionate story between a mother (played by Youn-ah Song) and her daughter (played by Hyang-gi Kim).
In the film, Song was a couture designer. She pursued her true love under the opposition of her whole family. However, the God did not show his sympathy to her. She got an incurable disease when her daughter was still a little girl.
She felt very sorry to her daughter as she knew she couldn’t bring her daughter up by herself. In order to show her love to her daughter, she decided to make a unique couture wedding dress for her little girl. Though she can not attend her daughter’s wedding ceremony when her daughter grew up, she hoped that her daughter can wear the unique wedding dress designed by her on the wedding day and live a happy life thereafter.
For the purpose of making this film to be perfect, the director specially chose an actress who looked like the little Hyang-gi Kim very much to put on the wedding dress at the end of the movie.
It was reported that when the film was under shoot, a necessity in the studio was a handkerchief. The plot of this movie was so affectionate that all the staff couldn’t control their teardrops. Sometimes, they had to stop for a while so as to make themselves calm from the sorrow and then be in good condition to carry on.
